From Transgender to Transhuman, part 3 - Sensation Experience

From Transgender to Transhuman, part 3

Last Updated on September 17, 2022 by sensation-experience

I’m back with another installment in this series, and I’d like to talk a little bit more on some possible techniques that we can develop to achieve a few different things. Most importantly, I would like to discuss the ways we could alter the size and shapes of various bone structures and cartilage in the body by using shaving and laser techniques, as well as some of the organ systems and cavities. Again, this mostly pertains to people who were coercively assigned male at birth and who have transitioned after puberty, as these are the folx whose bone structures and bodies have grown immensely.
When it comes to hand and foot size, it makes me wonder why few people are working on improving the techniques of reconstructions. As you probably know, the hand contains about twenty-seven bones, while the foot has twenty-six. A quarter of our bones are in our feet, and we have one hundred six bones altogether in just our hands and feet, so that would definitely be a lot of bone altering, as opposed to just trimming down the mandible or eyebrow bones of the face. Plastic and reconstructive surgery aims to reconstruct abnormal tissue, but many of them use artificial and foreign objects and other materials that they use to reconnect the bones, blood vessels, and nerves together with things like wires made out of alloys, pins and screws, or silicone gels. They might also use artificial fillers if no fat is available, rather than using donated fat that has been treated with the patient’s immune system and stem cells from the donor to avoid rejection and a lifeline regimend of immunosuppressant drugs. I don’t like the idea of having plates, screws, rods, and pins inside the bones because they could interfere with many other things, like damaging nerves. It’s one reason I will never have a cochlear implant inserted, no matter how much of my hearing I lose over time. I was thinking of other alternatives, like reactivating hair cell growth inside the cochlea. Besides, blind people like myself can’t rely on an electronic prosthesis to feel the texture and shape of objects, although they might be able to send some temperature signals. But making pins out of bone material and then pegging the ends together until they mended would probably be the best option. After all, that’s how people peg pieces of wood together. I believe they used to do this with elephant ivory. Unfortunately, though, getting ivory has been banned for many years now, so we will have to grow them in the lab. Bone regeneration is super important. It’s like replacing a damaged wall of a house with a patch, except that the surrounding edges would close around it and make the patch practically undistinguishable.
Nerve reconnection, especially those that may not regenerate, can be very difficult; It’s like conecting a small bundle of hairs, and you have to tie each strand of hair to the right one. That’s why scientists are working with nanotechnology to see if they can overcome this insurmountable barrier. We could also use soldering or electrocautery. As I later learnt, though, if a nerve gets severed, both ends may spend an indefinite amount of time growing and attempting to make contact with the axons. But even if they do get reconnected, there would be such an amount of scar tissue that would prevent them from properly communicating with the brain, which is why few transplants involving nerve reconnections have been successful lately. But hand and face transplants have recently kicked off, so I am hopeful that this will lead to a good thing. Bone replacement can be as simple as removing a piece of wall from a house and putting in a new board to change its shape or size. And in fact, a student discovered a way to perform mitotic cell reversal, which many scientists believed was impossible. The idea behind it is that during mid-division, a drug, protein, or enzyme is introduced, which causes it to change direction and collapse back into one cell. If this could be further perfected, we could introduce it into various cosmeceuticals and nanorobotic creams, gels, and lotions that can penetrate deep into the skin, as well as solutions that can be injected into soft, connective, and bone tissue, including cartilage, so as to perhaps make the ears and muscles smaller in conjunction with everything else.
The recombinant DNA theory suggests that some things can be changed from within. This is done with a bacteriophage. Depilation is a superficial removal of the hair, so a form of batch epilation would utilise a 400Hz alternating current, like on a plane, since epilation removes the entire hair, plus the part below the skin. At high electrical frequencies, you may not easily get electricuted, compared to a lower frequency AC flow. Some newer surgical techniques would employ a form of micro-miniature appliances that incorporate fibre-optics and concentrated beams. Going past the conventional form of liposuction, we can make an incision at the spine where the lowest set of ribs connect, then you would use a multi-lead fibre-optic cable to transmit high quality video to precisely control the equipment. If you wanted to have ribs removed for a smaller waist, cutting through them and severing them would be the best thing to do, unless, as I have said, we could find a way to shrink each rib by both length and diameter. Injecting a radioactive compound in the marrow with a short half life can kill the bone. To prevent reattachment, the spine would be covered in a special sealant. When the bones die, they become briddle. They are then shocked with ultrasonic waves used to break up kidney stones, and the fragments are then assimilated into the body as calcium. A surgical adhesive inserted into the point of entry would leave no scarring behind. Since fat cells are like bags that can fill up or empty out, centrifuging these cells can further separate them. Then you can filter them through a uniform permeable membrane. After this is completed, you can collect the cells, and by use of lipoaugmentation, you can reinsert it into different areas of the body, according to a computer-generated matrix. All that is left to do is to have the person eat a high saturated and naturally-producing fat diet for a while, and they will naturally assume the desired profile. These types of fat come from partially-hydrated vegetable oil, which comes from various extracts, which is why trans-fat has been banned recently. Altering the fingerprints by using lasers and electron guns, you can eradicate the old ones and burn a new pattern into the skin. A sophisticated form of brain mapping would also involve the use of introducing different stimuli to the subject, and then you would reprogramme their behavioural patterns, so that they would perceive it as either a good thing or a bad thing. This could be done by isolating the head by sealing everything below it, so that only the top part is exposed. The usual surgical procedures and insertion of a mesh of wires into the cerebrum or cerebellum would commence. They would call this a function plot for resonance mapping. Proto-resonance induction is when you would actually take the plotted responses and manipulate it. This would be useful for curing many kinds of mental illnesses, including alcohol and drug addictions. Finally, the ability for a constructed vagina to self-lubricate would involve the same mechanism our nostrils have for making a runny nose, especially when irritated. Since it would be necessary to trick the genitals into secreting lubrication by having the subject think of a sexually-arousing scene, it would have to be done in a somewhat primitive manner using the mapping, since the arousal by itself would not work yet. Additionally, some new and undeveloped muscles may need to be trained when a new voice box is inserted.
It might be that they can find a way to manipulate the bone structures and other tissues in the limbs to reduce their size. While I don’t believe in giving someone something that may seem impractical, I encourage them to develop a way to research their optionss. For example, one who wishes to pursue something that doesn’t exist may as well get support from those who share a common interest to make it a reality. Science fiction novels and films are the key to shaping our future. They are the people who think ahead and inspire us to keep pushing forward for meaningful change.
Cosmetic surgery is considered an elective, meaning that it is only based on the desire of the patient as an enhancement and not based on a medical necessity. The same goes for certain types of transplants. This is probably why, unfortunately, transplantation has so many ethical barriers, particularly when it comes to deciding whether it is vitally important. If you can live without it, then you don’t need it. But what if the transplant was able to relieve your anxiety and improve your quality of life based on how others perceived you? Being trans myself, I believe that if I had the right resources, knowledge, and willpower, I could work with a supportive team to see what new techniques could be used to make these things happen. Some health insurance companies, particularly those in liberal states in the U.S., are covering a wide range of transgender medical procedures, although you usually have to argue why they should cover things like electrolysis or laser hair removal. You may be able to make progress if you bought a subscription to get on-line transgender therapy at Plume.
The first idea I was thinking would involve a total limb transplant or a limb regrowth. Many researchers around the world are trying to figure out how some species are able to regenerate body parts. They speculate that certain activation of genes and progenitor cells play a role in the production of recreating new tissue. Deciphering the mechanism of bioelectricity will have the potential to help us understand how the body is capable of regenerating. It is currently impossible to look solely at an animal’s genome or microbiome and predict what shape or size it is going to be. We can say that this gene makes that protein, but to understand the shape of a head or an animal’s size… there is very little understanding of how large-scale shape emerges or is controlled. The chief chemicals lie within hoarding sodium and chloride ions, which ushers potassium ions. These mainly create a ground potential that creates a negative voltage. This is also called a sodium potassium pump, which exports three sodium ions per every two of potassium ions imported. This creates a positive charge in the fluid outside the cell than it is inside. Perhaps using CRISPR might help us find the answer, as it allows you to edit genes. I also learnt recently that many older vaccines relied on a foetal line that was supposedly left by someone who aborted their foetus, which was how the controversy began. They gave it the name WI38. It was the only way the pathogens could survive until new cell lines were obtained through more ethical methods.
One of the things I don’t like about facial feminisation surgery, or any surgery that involves bone removal and reinsertion is the way the bones are being shaped and filled with bone cement and other things, though I thought about using a handpiece and using it like a router used in woodworking to round-over any square edges. So, I think it would be much easier to replace them with new bones. Actually, a face transplant has been done, and something like this could be possible. Three-D printing technology could help in recreating new biological organs, including bones, which can be used to resculpt the body. While titanium was used in this experiment, someone was born with an extremely large skull. Most of that was removed and replaced with metal. We should not be putting metals and alloys inside our bodies. Alternatively, we could use a beating heart cadaver to remodel that person, one system at a time and adjust their immune system to those changes. A study found that many trans-women would be happier if they could have periods like a cis-woman would, so a uterine transplant will definitely be important to achieve. autolysis could be used to destroy leftover tissue or shrinking certain organs and connective tissue.
Also, one thing that facial feminisation procedures should account for is replacing the skin such that makeup won’t be required. Some older cisgender women put on makeup to lighten their complexion or hide any bumps and blemishes. We should be able to find a way to do that using these methods, so it’d be like having permanent makeup. Some people are just born lucky to not require make-up, and we should be able to rebuild someone who wants to look like that. There are ways to get facials, but unfortunately they can be expensive, and sometimes slightly uncomfortable because of the intense amount of steam and pressure used during the pore extraction. Another thing that sometimes gets overlooked is that many trans-women still have rough and leathery skin (lichenification) that is associated with having a lumberjack appearance. That also includes having extremely hairy arms and such. That also needs to be replaced. I assume that this is because before a child goes through puberty, they have certain pores and firmness that contains baby fat, which, under oestrogen, they retain, while testosterone causes them to lose it and be replaced with muscle, which also alters the skin’s texture over time by enlarging those pores. But, as I have said, the body replaces itself every seven years, but as we age, certain cells continue to divide more rapidly, so they end up growing by the time we reach old age, while other parts of our body begin losing elasticity.
Before I explain this next part, if you are a child who identifies as trans-femme and haven’t yet gone under puberty, do not try this experiment. There are far more effective and safer options available to you. In 2018, something remarkable that had been hiding under the surface for nearly thirty years have begun to emerge, thanks to a brave teenager who had the pluck and courage to tell a total stranger who initially doubted their statement, that they and their siblings have been suffering from severe malnourishment, lack of a proper education, and so much more. The result was that the majority of them were severely underweight, had stunted growth, and one even had a limb with the circumference of a newborn infant. That’s why the teen who ran away was mistaken by how they looked. Even their speech patterns and childlike cadence made them seem so much younger. To-day, children who persistently identify as transgender can get puberty blockers, because most transgender health standards of care forbid medical providers from administering cross-sex hormones for fear that their patients would later regret their decision. That’s why I strongly advocate for using a simulated real life experience test.
Also, I noticed that larger hands and feet, especially on the palmar and plantar sides, have a lot of padding. People with smaller hands and feet usually have less padding or fewer layers of skin in general. The wrists or ankles might be narrow, but the hands and feet may be wider, or vice versa. One of the things I read about was hand x-rays, an imaging technique used to see if the person’s bone age will be any different from their overall age. Sometimes, a person’s spine can fuse while other parts of their body continue to grow. This may result in a really short stature with enlarged bones elsewhere. Think of a biological female, for instance, that measured five feet even, who wears size fourteen shoes in men’s size. Or a really tall ballerina with slender bone structures and cartilage. It is unfortunate that the body was never meant to be shrunken, and that there is likely no hormone or access to other pathways to do that. I mean, yes, the body can shrink as you age, but that is usually caused by damage to the body, which wouldn’t be a good thing. But certain things, like anabolism or catabolism, could thin or thicken the bones. Taking oestrogen might cause certain muscles and ligaments to shift due to losing mass, so your shoe size or height might see some minor changes, but the bones will not shrink unless direct action is taken against them. Their voice might have slightly different harmonics because of the shifting of surrounding tissue, but that is all you can probably expect. That’s why most trans-men, or people who take testosterone, are lucky to know that their bones will most likely widen, if not grow longer.
I also discourage the continued use of breast augmentation using implants. Instead, use whatever amount of body fat you have to be liposuctioned and injected in a fat transfer. This is called an autologous breast augmentation. That could also help in tissue expansion, as well. After beginning hormone replacement therapy, natural breast growth takes about a year. But due to the contours of the chest (with biological males typically having barrel-shaped chests) their growth is somewhat limited. And, even if successful, there will always be a scar caused by the incision.
It has been shown that oestrogen is a growth inhibitor, and those who get a lot of it are usually smaller and have wider hips (with the outer skin being soft instead of firm). Some males with excess fat, especially during early childhood, can develop this, which is why they sometimes get gynaecomastia. In my case, I was likely getting phytoestrogens from consuming soy milk for a long time. Anyhow, taking androgens or progestogens are technically considered taking steroids, and as such, they can give you corticosteroid-like effects, such as gaining weight, feeling hungry all the time, and developing a moonface appearance. This was certainly the case for me because I was taking medicines that I wasn’t used to, especially when I developed anxiety some years before.
The ring to index finger ratio has been under a lot of scrutiny lately to see if there was any genuine linkage between prenatal hormones and gender identity, but nothing has been definite yet. This has led to a lot of myths and debates over the phenomenon. And speaking of reconstruction, let’s not forget to replace the hip and pelvic regions, so that trans-femme people can give birth easily, once the technology to make that happen is available.
In 2016, I read two books about authors who have interviewed transgender teens, such as beyond magenta and Transparent. They all had unique experiences from different cultural narratives, and it addressed the social, medical, legal, and political issues that these folx faced on a daily basis.
One of the fundamental principles of biological sex that medical providers rely on is that biological males generally have higher water content, surface area, and body mass. Biological females have more receptive sites for drugs to bind to, so they are more sensitive. And, as such, the latter are more prone to autoimmune diseases than the former. Read this article from the BBC to learn more. Some LGBTQIA+ conservatives rely on these principles to defend their stance, because another deeply rooted principle is that biological males who identify as femme cannot partake of sports for those who are biologically female, unless it were a mixed team. Take this story from Connecticut, for instance. The conservative Trump administration used gender identity as the basis that what the state was doing was illegal. But what if someone had a court order that legally declared them to be female, even though their biological sex was still male, or maybe even intersex?
A recent blog post shed some light onto this mystery that even after a year of taking feminising hormones, trans-women still retain an advantage over their cisgender counterparts because testosterone has permanently increased their heart and lung capacity, their bones, and possibly their haemoglobin and haematocrit levels. Plus, even if they lost muscle mass, testosterone has also permanently increased their muscle nuclei, which would allow them to easily regain their lost strength. Even a scientist was racing to better understand this dilemma. It was also shown that biological females have an advantage over biological males for things like gymnastic-related sports, flexibility, and overall stamina, whereas biological males have an advantage for things relating to strength and power. All of these things has caused me to develop a side condition called body dysmorphia.
That’s why H+ needs to do something to override these fundamental stereotypes, like using replacement cloning or brain transplantation. It is the only way we can truly progress, and that’s why science needs to catch up, now!.
To get back to the main question, what I would do is research any places that support your belief, and who have idealistic and optimistic attitudes. some things can be made practical over time if we work together to make it happen, and with the proper understanding of how all these underlying processes work. If we stopped quarrelling and bickering with one another over the latest political drama, we should make efforts to become more educated and informed, rather than choosing to ignore science because of religious upbringing or whatnot. Rich billionaires need to start contributing some of their riches to fund basic research, so that we can get to this faster!
